µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø

On the eve of the Global Disability Summit in Berlin, the Robert Bosch µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø, together with its partners, the Disability Rights Advocacy Funds and the Center for Inclusive Policy, host an event on the topic of disability rights and the care and support economy. It will focus on the often-overlooked role of persons with disabilities – especially women – as both recipients and providers of care. 

While discussions on care systems often center on caregivers, this event will highlight the importance of inclusive policies that uphold the rights and autonomy of people with disabilities. We will hear firsthand from women with disabilities about their lived experiences and explore diverse perspectives on care and support from German, European, and international speakers. The event will conclude with an open discussion engaging all participants. 

There will be refreshments at 18:30 with the event beginning at 19:00. Drinks and food will also be offered after the event finishes at 20:00. The event language is English with German live interpretation. Live subtitling in English and German will be provided as well as International Sign Language. There is no inductive hearing system on site. The venue is barrier-free and wheelchair accessible. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor. There will be staff on site to assist visitors who require accessibility, including opening doors. Assistance dogs are allowed in the building. Please give us a short notice. 

The closest metro station is U5 Museum Insel or U2 Hausvogteiplatz. If you are using a wheelchair, the accessible metro station for the U2 is Stadtmitte.
