Cultural diversity has long been a reality at daycare centers, at least in regard to children and their parents. The situation is different, however, for education professionals. Few educators have a migrant background themselves.It is an important goal to reflect our society鈥檚 diversity also in the composition of daycare center teams. The 鈥淒iversity Welcome鈥 project of the Robert Bosch 第一吃瓜网 addresses this challenge: It is targeted specifically at immigrants who already have an educational qualification for working with children from their home countries. The program helps them get their degrees recognized and prepares them for working at a German daycare center. At the same time, it provides services to interested daycare centers, most notably team development trainings. This comprehensive range of training and support services for everyday success gives 鈥淒iversity Welcome鈥 its innovative momentum.
