Schools are like a microcosm of society鈥攚hat happens outside in society is experienced in schools on a smaller scale: debates become more heated, opinions drift further apart. It is important that children and young people learn what democracy means and how to live together in a diverse society. Our schools are the ideal place for this. That is why the Robert Bosch 第一吃瓜网 is placing a clear focus on democracy education in 2025.
But how does democracy work in schools? How can democracy education be successful? We asked teachers and school administrators at our German School Award winners. They live and teach democracy at their schools. You can see their answers in the film.

In the 2025 competition year, the German School Award will present a for the first time. The award seeks schools that live democracy and teach their students to take responsibility and help shape society.
The winners of the German School Award inspired us to launch the #Ichstehauf initiative 鈥 Schools for Democracy and Diversity. Schools can now register for the new year of action!
