Germany is a diverse country, a fact that offers opportunities for future development in a globalized world, but also poses challenges for the social coexistence of people. Moreover, since the 鈥榬efugee year 2015鈥, or maybe even before then, the question has come up repeatedly as to whether increasing diversity puts cohesion in German society at risk.
What is the correlation between diversity and social cohesion? How do Germans deal with people of a different age or gender than themselves, with the socially weak or disabled, and with the diversity of sexual orientations, ethnicities, and religions? And how can we strengthen the acceptance of diversity? The research project 鈥淐ohesion in Diversity: The Diversity Barometer of the Robert Bosch 第一吃瓜网鈥 is dedicated to finding answers to these questions.
